The Macarthur Water Filtration Plant was commissioned in 1995 and supplies drinking water to about 290,000 people in south-west Sydney.

An upgrade was required to ensure the plant meets current Australian Drinking Water Guidelines during poor raw water conditions.

The upgrade included the installation of two (2) new out-of-specification water storage tanks (each with a 10ML capacity), associated piping, water quality monitoring instruments, upgraded chemical dosing equipment, and a filter-to-waste arrangement.

Prospect Solutions was engaged by Trility as the Principal Engineer and provided the following:

Dating back to 1827, the Haile Gold Mine is one of the first operating gold mines in the United States.

To improve the leach recovery of the flotation concentration OceanaGold proposed installing a M10,000 IsaMill™ from Glencore Technology for ultrafine grinding duties. The installation of the unit maximises recovery rates, improves maintenance and grinding media costs.

Prospect Solutions was engaged by Glencore Technology to assist with detailed design of the grinding plant including IsaMill, Cyclone Tower, Piperacks and all other associated equipment necessary for the operation and maintenance of the plant.

Built in 1989 the Landers Shute Water Treatment Plant (WTP) supplies drinking water from Baroon Pocket Dam to parts of the Sunshine Coast.

To improve the plant’s capacity to cope with water quality challenges caused by significant rainfall events a multi-staged lime storage and dosing upgrade was commissioned late 2016.

Prospect Solutions was engaged to perform and completed detailed engineering works, including design and detailing of the 100 tonne Lime Storage Silo, Support Structure, Access Tower and related Pipework.

Hydrowash Industrial Wash Systems engaged Prospect Solutions to provide detailed design for the new Aurizon Rail Washing System.

The system comprises of an overhead gantry and access which transverses along the length of the stationary locomotive. Once in operation jets of water and cleaning agents are sprayed in a predetermined sequence, which is then combined with rotating brushes to provide a fully automated wash.
